Tiwa Savage Attempted Suicide

Eminado Crooner Tiwa Savage
The news was all over town over the weekend that Eminado crooner and Mavin Records First Lady, Tiwa Savage, got into the bad books of the Nigerian Police when she assaulted one of them for stopping her after she had flouted the traffic lights somewhere on the Lagos Island.
The reports had it that Tiwa who recently got married, with a flourishing career, got out of
her car angrily, shouting at the man for not recognizing her, insulted the living daylight out of the policeman and, as if that was not enough, removed the man’s cap and slapped him with it.
Tiwa was promptly arrested and taken away and her bravado ended with her begging the men and apologizing profusely, before was released.
But what is giving her fans cause for concern was why she took that line of action when she knows that most police officers in Nigeria are always on a short fuse and any of them could have released some bullets into her and the case tagged ‘accidental discharge.’
Many of her lovers are disappointed that she could descend so low to behave the way she did and are wondering about what would have happened if she had met one of those ‘ogogoro’ drinking, ‘igbo’ smoking policeman and he decided to take the laws into his hands?
We think she needs to work on her temper.
The Police also released a statement to confirm the star singer was actually involved in an assault case.
Read it here.
“Tiwa Savage refused to stop at a traffic light around Adetokunbo Ademola Street near Eko Hotel and Suites. When we attempted to accost her, she refused to park her car as instructed by the policemen.
“Since there was a traffic snarl at the time, a policeman followed her car and insisted that she must stop. After a while, she stopped and started raining abuses on all of us so, we took her to the station.
“On getting to the station, a senior officer advised her to apologize because she was wrong and there were even eyewitnesses at the scene who could testify against her if the matter was taken to court. She apologized and was released immediately.”
