EPL: Pogba under fire after Man Utd's 4-0 win over Chelsea

Former Everton manager, Sam Allardyce, has slammed Paul Pogba for his performance in Manchester United's 4-0 win over Chelsea.

Allardyce, speaking to talkSPORT, claims Pogba was causing his own side more problems than the opposition.

Marcus Rashford netted twice, while Anthony Martial and Daniel James also found the back of the net, as United won their Premier League opener.

Pogba played in a midfield three alongside Scott McTominay and Andreas Pereira. But Allardyce believes the 26-year-old should be played in a more advanced role, as he is too wasteful in possession.

"How much has he learned since he's been at Manchester United?

"Unfortunately for me he hasn't improved his game.

"We've seen the best from him sometimes when he's playing behind the front two, like at Man City away when he scored two goals.

"For me that looks like the position best for him, best suited to the tricks and the abilities he wants to pull off.

"Doing in central midfield in a two, it just doesn't work for Man United and it doesn't work for him.

"When Pogba plays the ball simply he looks very effective.

"But when he tries to do drag backs and step overs he's lost the ball every time.

"He needs to cut it out in the position he's playing in.

"If he was playing in behind the front-man, then I could understand it a little bit more.

"But he was causing Man United more problems than he was causing Chelsea on the ball," Allardyce said.

Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz: Real reason rematch will take place in Saudi Arabia

Boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn, has said Anthony Joshua has not decided to "cash out" in the Andy Ruiz Jr rematch, but has taken a greater risk by agreeing the world title fight in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua will fight Ruiz Jr again in Diriyah on December 7, as he attempts to avenge his shock stoppage defeat in June.

The Mexican had previously spoken about his reluctance to travel to Britain and Hearn insists Joshua was more interested in repairing his reputation, than any financial reward on offer in the Middle East.

"He [Ruiz Jr] didn't want to fight in the UK, felt it was unfair. I don't think AJ wants any excuses. He wants to make sure that he wins this fair and square and to do it on a neutral territory made sense.

"I don't think Anthony Joshua needs to cash out. I think he's doing alright. In terms of the risk, there is greater risk for him in this fight, doing it in a neutral venue, than over in the UK.

"I think that's just common sense, but I admire him for that, he doesn't fear a challenge," Hearn told Sky Sports.

Big Brother Naija Is All About Connection – Gifty Blows Hot

A former housemate of the 2017 edition of the Big Brother Naija reality TV Show, Gifty Powers has taken to her instastories to say the show is unfair and connection is needed to keep one in the house.
Gifty said this while reacting to the various strikes issued to the current set of housemates in the house.

The reality TV star frowned at the fact that Seyi who had previously ‘cursed’ Thelma on the show faced no penalty for his action when the previous edition saw Kbrule and Khloe earn a disqualification for the same action.
She wrote:

I feel this is cheating and unfair.

One of Biggie’s rules is NO CURSING (strike).

Exactly what happened to Kbrule and Khloe, they were disqualified because of that.
But in the case of Seyi, he cursed Thelma and Ike but was never given a strike or a warning.
Imagine Buhari’s son or Davido going for BBN.
That is why i talk say BBN na all about connection and who get people to put you in the game

Jesus Is Not God – Reno Omokri Reacts To Maraji’s Jesus Post

Activist Reno Omokri has added his knowledge to Maraji’s post of Jesus being the only way to heaven and he stated that Jesus is not God.

He wrote;
Let me shock you. Yeshua came to show us the Way to God because He, Yeshua, is the ONLY Way to God. He is the everlasting Melchizedek High Priest. The Mediator between God and man. But He is NOT the Almighty God. That is a European concept.
Yeshua never claimed to be God. Many Christians read John 1:1 in The Bible (not the Scriptures) and use that to claim that Yeshua is God. I will urge you to get the original Greek Scriptures (see the attached picture) and even if you can’t read Greek, just study that verse. This is the verse in pure Greek (?ν ?ρχ? ?ν ? λ?γος, κα? ? λ?γος ?ν πρ?ς τ?ν θε?ν, κα? θε?ς ?ν ? λ?γος). Here is the verse in Latin, which may be easier for laymen (In principio erat Verbum, et Verbum erat apud Deum, et Deus erat Verbum). Notice the words DEUM and DEUS are used to describe the first and second mention of God.
Although you may not be able to read the Greek, what John 1:1 says when translated without changing the words used for God is this “in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with Theon and the Word was Theos”. The original Scriptures did not use the same word for the first mention of God and the second mention. The word used in the first mention is THEON (which refers to the Almighty. The word in the second mention is THEOS which is what is used to refer to Yeshua.
This is why Scripture says “my people perish for lack of knowledge”-Hosea 4:6.

Watch The First Trailer For Greta Gerwig’s Feminist Update On Little Women

The movie is set to hit your TV-Screens very soon! While we wait, checkout the first Trailer For Greta Gerwig’s Feminist Update On Little Women.

They’ve got ambition and talent as well as just beauty,” Saoirse Ronan’s Jo March declares of her sisters in the first trailer for Greta Gerwig’s Little Women. “I’m so sick of people saying that love is just all a woman is fit for. I’m so sick of it.” The message is clear: this is Louisa May Alcott’s progressive masterpiece – with the volume turned up on the feminist messaging. Diehard fans of the novel, however, will be relieved that many classic scenes appear as written by Alcott herself – with plenty of nods to the 1994 film, starring Winona Ryder and Christian Bale, as well.
Sony Pictures

Of course, the best moments in the trailer belong to Ronan and Timothée Chalamet, who plays the March girls’ wealthy neighbour Laurie, who falls deeply in love with the capricious Jo. Gerwig of course directed Ronan and Chalamet together in Ladybird, cementing their status as Hollywood darlings in the process.
Sony Pictures

Among the other highlights? Laura Dern at her most charming as matriarch Marmee, and Meryl Streep as the perpetually grouchy

Aunt March, who gives Downton Abbey’s Lady Violet a run for her money with her barbed one-liners. “You’ll need to marry well,” she warns Jo, only for her niece to point out, “But you’re not married, Aunt March.” Her hilarious response? “Well, that’s because I’m rich.” Rounding out the starry cast are Emma Watson as Meg; Eliza Scanlen as Beth; Florence Pugh as Amy; and James Norton as John Brooke. Watch the trailer in full below, and stay tuned for film, set to hit cinemas on 25 December.

#BBNaija: Khafi's team threatens legal action against Sun UK newspaper

Big Brother Naija: Pepper Dem housemate, Khafi's management has said their team was not contacted by media house, Sun UK for her own side of the story before they published such a report that can be injurious to her personality. See report here:

The management is now demanding a retraction of the story and an apology within 48 hours.

Read their statement below,

ATTENTION! ATTENTION!! ATTENTION!!! The attention of Khafi's management has been drawn to a publication by The Sun UK of Tuesday, August 13, 2019, titled "LOIN OF DUTY Met Police 'poster girl' faces sack for 'having sex' on Nigerian Big Brother after being told not to take part". This brazenly sensational and defamatory outburst by The Sun UK is written in poor taste without considering the ethics of journalism which seeks balance and objectivity.

At NO time did The Sun UK send a mail of inquiry to Khafi's official email which is blasted across her social media platforms under active management to confirm or refute the claims in the publication.
Khafi's side of the story is deliberately and conveniently omitted to sell a pre-conceived narrative while responses from "outraged colleagues" and "other papers" riddle the publication.
This comes from a repressive culture of shaming and characterizing women for their sexual decisions and life choices.

We find The Sun UK's publication repulsive and damaging to the image and livelihood of our client.
Khafi is a proud black female police officer who prides herself in her work and has dedicated her youthful years protecting and serving with her many skills which include the ability to speak at least five international languages.

We demand an immediate retraction of the publication by The Sun UK and a public apology to our client Khafilat Kareem within the next 48 hours.

Legal options are also being considered at this time.

Thank you.

BBNaija: Biggie under attack for issuing strike to Ike, exempting Seyi

Big Brother Naija, BBNaija organizers have come under attack for issuing strike to housemate, Ike.

Biggie on Monday night issued another strike to Ike for attempting to attack a fellow housemate, Seyi.

Biggie's judgement has since been criticized by Nigerians for his failure to issue Seyi a strike for provoking Ike.

We reported that Biggie issued Joe a strike for provoking Tacha to violence.

BBNaija fans took to their social media to vent their anger over Ike's strike, stating that the reality show has been biased.

Some accused Biggie of being partial and in favour of Seyi.

Here are some comments gathered by DAILY POST from Twitter:

@Idybongay "So Seyi that used abusive Yoruba words nko without interpreting goes free without a strike. hmmmm, Biggie you are partial."

@Afrochic "Tacha shoved Mike, provoked Frodd, Tacha hit Joe, Biggie: 1 strike

"Joe provoked Tacha, Biggie: 1 strike, Ike provoked Seyi Biggie gave him 1 strike

"Seyi provoked Ike but nothing from Biggie, Biggie, you're a FRAUD."

@Xameicce "Dear Big Brother,in my honest opinion Tacha deserves atleast two strikes , I feel biggie hates Ike ,two strikes is bullshit! Seyi deserves a strike for cursing Thelma's late brother."

@Pat7alfred "I disagree with Biggie on the last one, aggrieved Ike was seated outside and Seyi came out attacking him. How's that not provocation."

@Kaykay "It's obvious Biggie is playing games. Tacha gets 1 Strike for multiple fightings and altercations with HMs. Seyi gets none for cursing Thelma's late bro, provoking Ike."

@Davechuks_008 "I'm sure SEYI is related to big brother, same guy that was disqualified from participating in the veto power game and was later pardoned. Same guy won HOH even when it was clear someone else did better than him. Nigga is biggie's favourite well done o."

@Ogabossman "Why should Only Ike get that strike, Seyi should have benefited from it too because he provoked him and also insulted him using Tribal language."

@Mitchel_Chris "Dear Biggie, since you like people who curse and insult, may you be cursed too.How about Seyi's constant use of Yoruba in cursing? How about Tacha's constant abuses to Frodd, slapping cigarettes from Ike, throwing issues at Mike. She deserved 5 strikes but, f**k you."

@Tuneisfavoured "Biggie you've just shown you have zero entertainment skills. How dare you issue IKE a second strike and look past what Tasha and Seyi did?No wonder people want the show shutdown."

@Kgomotso_tau "Biggie Ike gets a strike for what exactly? Why did you avoid to show Seyi video for cursing Thelma's family? Where's the video of Seyi claiming Niger boys will run down Ike? Is this show bias? Are you running a scam na? Where is consistency? Ebuka we need answers."

EPL: 'Alex Iwobi lacks quality', Everton blamed for signing Nigerian forward

Former England player, Darren Bent has attacked Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi, saying that player lacks quality.

Brent questioned the quality of the Nigerian playmaker following his move from Arsenal to Everton this summer.

Iwobi had moved to Arsenal on a five-year deal for an initial fee of £28 million, rising to £34 million.

Bent, who played for Aston Villa and a self-professed Arsenal fan, said that Everton already had a better player than the Nigerian in Richarlison.

"I'm an Arsenal fan and I've never been Iwobi's biggest fan," Bent told Football Insider.

"My thing with people has always been quality on the ball. Whether it was his final cross or his shot on goal, it was always under-hit or there was never really any quality there.

"He'd do the hard stuff, go past someone, and you'd want him to make the right decision, but he never seemed to get it right.

"I wouldn't say he's better than Richarlison because he gives you goals, he's got a bit more quality."

How My Mum Protected My Virginity – Actress, Jane Obi Speaks Out

Actress and model, Jane Obi, is blazing a trail in the movie sector of Enugu. Having starred in many movies such as Loving in Pain, Heart Ripper, Enemies Must Bow, Egg of Freedom, and Woman of Truth among others, the thespian is now aiming for the stars.

In this chat, the law undergraduate opens up on childhood, career, s*x-for-role and how her mother protected her from boys while growing up, among other interesting issues. Enjoy it.

Tell us about growing up?

Growing up was tough. I juggled between my village, Uga in Anambra State and the city of Enugu where I was born. My parents were average; they offered me the little they could afford. My father, may his soul rest in peace, was tender and loving. My mum, a teacher, was at that time a disciplinarian. She kept hammering that I must live an exemplary life and get married as a virgin. In fact, I remember my mum disciplining me as a teenager because I went out with a guy. It really hurt me but the beautiful thing is that the experience humbled me and made me focus on my education. After that incident, I never looked at or talked to a boy again till I finished school.

How did you come into acting?

A friend invited me to a theatre group. I got there, enjoyed the rehearsals and they ended up convincing me to register with them, which I did. I started going there every time. I later

joined other theatre groups. We would go to different locations and camps but none of the movies we did ever saw the light of day. But because I was catching my fun, I continued until someone walked up to me and said if I really wanted to be a movie star, I should join Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

What were your challenges as a green horn?

There were lots of challenges. But the one that stuck out most was after attending auditions you go home and wait to be called for the job, only for you to wake up one morning to see the movie is a wrap on social media.

At what point did you discover you wanted to be an actress?

I remember back in secondary school, I silently nursed the idea of becoming an actress. I loved school drama, morning assembly speeches and debates.

How did you land your first role and what was the experience like?

One day, after attending an audition, I got a call from the late Ifeanyi Udokwu to come to the museum in Enugu for a movie directed by Tchidi Chikere. I got there to see actors were being cast. I was quite scared and I stayed far away. But he called me out and asked if I had featured in a movie before. I said ‘yes’, mentioning a movie that never existed because I was scared he might ask me to go home because I felt he was looking for established actors and not wannabes like me. Luckily, he bought that and gave me a role in the movie. It was entitled ‘The Unforkables’. I acted alongside Nkem Owoh and Nuella Njubigbo among others. I delivered well and he gave me another role in ‘Bachelors Heart’ where I acted alongside Kenneth Okonkwo. Since then, I have never looked back.

Who were your influences when growing up?

My brother was a major force. He taught me Bill Gates’ popular quote, ‘If you are born poor, it’s not your mistake, but if you die poor, it’s your mistake’ (laughter).

How did your family react when you went into acting?

It was a no-no for my mum. She thought actors were promiscuous. Even, one of my relations told me that such career was ‘not our thing’. So, they thought I was just wasting my time but I never gave up. Now, I can see and feel the joy on my mum’s face whenever she is watching my movie or whenever someone tells her that her daughter is doing real good in movies. And guess what, my relations like to associate with me now.

S*x for role is quite rampart in the industry. As a voluptuous green horn, did you have any experience and if yes, how did you handle it?

First of all, I will like to say that sex for role is in every sector and not exclusive to the entertainment industry. Back then, after auditions, I would quietly go home, hoping to get a call to come shoot, and most times, no ones called. Someone told me that the reason was because I didn’t do follow up after auditions, by going to the hotel rooms to familiarise myself with the producers and directors. But I didn’t understand that because I was naive and wasn’t desperate. Besides, I was enjoying all the small roles I got and preferred to take it one step at a time. So, in my own opinion, there are choices. The truth is ‘if you no give, dem no go chop’. A large percentage of sex-for-roles incidences are actually initiated by girls who are desperate and want a fast lane to the top in the industry.

You are a beautiful and curvy actress. Are you in a relationship?

(Laughter) It’s complicated and I want to keep that aspect of my life private.

Could you describe your ideal man and what it will take to win your heart?

Love is all that matters. I am a very simple babe.

What has been your most challenging movie to date?

It is ‘The Revenge of Labista’, a movie that I just concluded. I got messed up real good and the torture looked so real. And guess what, it is my first ever action film and I am so excited!

What has been your saddest moment as an actress?

It’s not being paid as much as I deserve, and it has happened a couple of times. It hurts so much because after giving your best, commensurate reward should naturally follow.

Today, a lot of actresses are going into film production. Do you have such plan? Yes, I am currently working on a script. My aim is not just to be an actor; I also want to be one of the greatest filmmakers ever. So, I am taking my time preparing and I would soon embark on my own productions.

I Can Act N*ked In Movies – Beautiul Actress, Eno Udo, Opens Up

For Nollywood actress, Eno Udo, acting n*de is no big deal. To her, it’s all part of the business.

In this chat, the Kwara State Polytechnic graduate of Business Administration talks about acting nude and recalls the day she found herself in an embarrassing situation at a motor park. Enjoy it.

How did you come into acting?

I started acting in nursery 2. I wrote my first amateur script in primary 6. When I gained admission to secondary school, I joined the drama club and was made president in SS3. Before then, in SS2, I featured in my first movie, Death Warrant and the late J.T. Tom West was my director. After secondary school, I joined Alpha Bash Theater Group based in Ikeja, Lagos. Also, I was the secretary of my church’s drama group. In 2008, I featured in another movie, Life Secret. My acting career continued from there.

What was the experience like acting in your first movie?

My first movie, Death Warrant was a bit scary because I was so young and in secondary school then. But then the movie had lots of top actors. I was given a challenging role because my director knew I had the talent for it. At the end of the day, I enjoyed playing the role because it made me bolder.

How many movies have you done so far?

I have done four movies, six television dramas and 20 YouTube skits.

What inspired you into acting?

It’s the passion I have for acting. Actually, me, myself and I inspired me simply because I realised from my teenage days that every action I took was more of acting.

What are your challenges?

Talent doesn’t make one a celebrity. I have the talent but I am still struggling to be a celebrity in the movie industry.

What are your fears?

My fear is I don’t know how long it will take me to be fully discovered in the movie industry.

Aside acting, what else do you do?

I am an event planner, caterer and baker. I attend to one or two clients in a week. But the competition is very high. You need referrals and recommendations to make it big in this business.

Is your family in support of your career?

Yes, they are. We are four children in the family. Three girls and one boy and I’m the last-born. However, everyone in the family has always been encouraged to do whatsoever he or she likes.

Are you single or married?

I am single.

What’s your ideal man?

My ideal man is the person who loves me for who I am. He must be God fearing, a goal getter, truthful, intelligent, chocolate in complexion and handsome. I am single because I am still waiting for the right partner God has destined for me.

Have you been found in an awkward situation that embarrassed you?

Yes. One day, I was traveling to Akwa Ibom State by bus and I had eaten too much that I became pressed. Immediately we got to the motor park, I noticed the toilet doors were all locked, so the next thing I did was to excrete inside the tyres kept near the door. It was really embarrassing.

What’s the craziest thing a male fan has done to you?

A male fan heard I was shooting at Ikorodu, Lagos and he came all the way there. He stayed at the location all day just staring at me.

Can you marry an actor?

Yes, I can marry an actor.

What would you not be caught doing?

You will never catch me stealing.

Can you act n*de?

Yes, I can act n*de. It’s just acting, it’s make-belief.

How would you define love?

Love is divine. It’s more divine when you meet the right partner.

Are you romantic?

Yes, I am very romantic.

Can you dump acting for love or marriage?

My future husband will be someone who understands my line of duty. So, I don’t see that coming.

Busola Dakolo Under Fire For Claiming Police Forced Her To Withdraw Rape Case

Nigerians have attacked Busola Dakolo, wife of popular singer, Timi Dakolo, for claiming she was forced to sign a letter countering her allegation that Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) raped her.
Busola, a mother of three, told the Guardian of UK that a silver Toyota tailed her as she was driving home and a white minibus with tinted windows was parked outside her house.

By the time she got to her gate, the minibus with no police markings had blocked her path.

According to her, a man appeared and told her to get out of her car, get into the bus and speak to his boss.
